GYMPOLE

The GYMPOLE concept seeks to introduce the fitness pole to the gym floor so that everyone can enjoy the many benefits of Pole Fitness.
Pole Fitness has already become very popular for ‘everyday’ women and men during the last 15 years. This type of functional body weight training has now evolved to the point where fitness poles have become a well-recognised piece of exercise equipment. However, not many people know about the huge variety of exercises that can take place on a vertical pole.

The GYMPOLE training course teaches a variety of simple yet effective exercises that people can start training with right away. Strengthening, cardio and stretching can all take place on the GYMPOLE. GYMPOLE exercises target the whole body and do not require any dance skills or acrobatic skills. This form of Pole Fitness can be done by everyone.

This course is a fun and interactive day with no assessments. All attendees will receive a certificate of completion.

Prerequisites of Joining a GYMPOLE 1-Day Course
This course is recommended for personal trainers and gym instructors who are looking to diversify and offer their clients something fresh, exciting and motivating. GYMPOLE was also designed for people who are interested in body weight and fitness exercises on the pole, with NO DANCING or choreography. Candidates of this course need to be enthusiastic, enjoy working with people and keen to learn and practise new skills. You do not have to have prior experience in Pole Fitness to attend the course as all of the movements taught will be of a basic level.

If you are 16 or 17 years old, please bring a letter of consent from your parent or guardian. We would also like to talk with your parent or guardian before the course. A good level of English is required to make the most of this course.

If you have any special learning needs, please talk to your course organiser or tutor before the course begins. The Pole Studio is happy to support you in any way we can.

Preparation and Clothing
Bring drinking water, snacks and a light lunch as there will be short breaks during the course.

Wear comfortable gym clothes that you can move freely in. Shorts are recommended in order to grip the pole with your legs. However, it is not compulsory to wear shorts for this course. You may wear trainers or go bare foot during the practical sessions. Bring a small towel to wipe the pole.

Please do not wear any moisturisers on your hands, arms and legs. Moisturisers make your skin and the poles slippery which is dangerous for you and other students. Slipping on the pole will also prevent you from performing the techniques.

You must be in good health in order to participate in this course. If you have a concern about your health, or a pre-existing injury, please contact us at least 48 hours before the course starts. You may be able to transfer to another date, subject to availability.
